If you have more than 6 points, have been disqualified in the last 5 years or have any endorsements starting with IN, DR, MS, LC or CD please contact us.

If you have a new style driving license with the photocard and the address matches your utility bill this will count as the photo ID.

If you have the old style license we will need a passport or other official document with your photograph on.

If you have a non-UK license, you must bring your passport with you.

UK license holders with a photocard license must also provide us with a code from the DVLA website –  as this enables us to check your license for any endorsements.

To obtain the code, please visit :-

If you do not bring the code with you, we will ring the DVLA and a £5 surcharge added to your rental.

Yes – We require £50.00 payment over the phone to confirm booking, for longer hires we require 10% of hire amount to be paid.

On the day of hire we require £250 holding deposit on a credit or debit card. This £250.00 is released when vehicle is returned undamaged and full of fuel.

This £250.00 Pre authorised holding deposit can take around 5-7 working days to be processed back onto your card. Some cards may take longer.

Please note that unfortunately we cannot accept AMEX or cash.

If someone else is going to pay the deposit for you then they must be present at the time of the rental as they will be held responsible for all charges relating to the hire and must sign the rental agreement.

No – the price you see is inclusive of VAT and will be the price that you pay unless you choose to take additional products which will incur extra charges.

All of our vehicles come fully insured but they do have an excess of £1000. You can choose to lower this excess by buying one or both of our 2 excess reducing products. For £15 per day you can lower the excess from £1000 to £250 (this does not cover glass and tyres). In addition, or as an alternative, you can take out glass and tyre cover for £8 per day, this will reduce the excess to zero for these items.

You may also choose to add extra items to your rental such as car seats, a GPS, or additional drivers.

We always aim to check the car with you. However, on exceptionally busy days or if it is dark or pouring with rain then it may not be practical to do so. On every occasion you will be given a document stating the condition of the car and the mileage.

It is your responsibility to check the vehicle thoroughly before driving away. If you notice any damage that is not recorded, you must tell us. Once the vehicle has been driven away, any additional damage identified will be charged to you.

When you return we will check the vehicle thoroughly. We will use the outgoing document as a reference. You will be given a copy of this when you pick the vehicle up. You are held responsible for the vehicle whilst it is on hire even if you are not sure how the damage occurred. This means that if you park in a hotel car park and come back out to the car and it has a dent on the door you are still held responsible. Where possible always get details of any third parties involved.

Depending on the severity of the damage, you will be charge the cost of the repair up to the value of your excess. For very minor scratches and small stone or glass chips there is no charge. At the start of the rental you will be given a leaflet stating what we consider damage and what we do not.

You will be given the opportunity to get a quote for the repair yourself, this is subject to the vehicle being available.

If you chose to return the vehicle outside of our working hours you are still held responsible for the vehicle until we reopen and a member of staff can check the vehicle. If we identify new damage then we will call you and give you the opportunity to come and inspect the vehicle yourself.  Please be aware that on occasion we may only offer you a small window of opportunity to come into the branch if the vehicle is booked to go out again on that same day.

Yes – If the vehicle breaks down because of a mechanical fault then there is no charge for ringing the breakdown number. If you require assistance due to misfuelling or because of an at-fault incident then there may be a charge for using the breakdown service. Each vehicle has the relevant breakdown assistance telephone number on the key fob.

Previously we have allowed most of our cars and vans to travel abroad. These rentals are subject to additional charges. Please contact us to discuss your booking. You will need to tell us where you intend to travel, the dates and give us the approximate mileage you expect to do.

Different countries require you to carry different items of equipment. For example; warning triangles, GB stickers and Breathalysers. We can advise you of this.

Our vehicles run on a full-to-full basis. The fuel tank will be full when you pick your car up. Just replace the fuel you’ve used before you drop your car off and you’ll pay no fuel fees at all.

Please call us if you are running late as there may be another customer waiting for your vehicle. If you return over hour late, you will be charged £12 to cover the insurance. If you return more than two hours late, you will be charged for a full days hire.

As long as the vehicle you are in is still available you can extend the hire. Please let us know before the due back time and ensure that you have sufficient funds on your payment card to cover the extension.

If you choose to return the vehicle early, we will offer a refund but an early return fee of £20 will be added to the cost of the rental and your overall cost may change.

If, for example, you took the car for 10 days but wanted to return after 5 days the daily rate will change. This means that a car you had originally hired the car for 10 days was costing you £15 per day with a total cost of £150. The daily rate for a 5 day hire is £20, meaning a 5 day rental would normally cost you £100. In addition to this, you would also have to pay the early return fee, meaning the overall cost of your 5 day rental would be £120.

Yes – but it is at your own risk.

You are responsible for all damage including damage to glass and tyres whilst the vehicle is on rent.

If the puncture cannot be repaired and a new tyre has to be fitted it must be “like for like”. You can either arrange this yourself or we can do it on your behalf and charge your payment card.

If the windscreen cracks then it must be replaced and you are responsible for the charges. Please remember that some screens have additional sensors and are tinted and therefore prices will vary. If the car is drive-able we will arrange for the work to be carried out in the branch. If it is not safe to drive then please call the breakdown assistance number.

Should you be involved in an accident or incident then you will be asked to complete an accident form, if possible, take photos of the incident.

Photos of our hire vehicle, any third party vehicles, road signs and road layouts are always helpful, especially if the accident is serious or a third party is involved.

It is also important to take accurate details of any third party, including their name, address, telephone number, insurance details (if known), registration, and the make/model of the vehicle. It is important that you do not admit liability at the scene of the incident.

If the police attend, please obtain the officers name and badge number as this will help when completing the insurance claim.

The breakdown assistance number for the hire vehicle is on the keyfob.

A £50.00 charge will be applied at the time of booking, with the same charge if cancelled within 24 hours of the booking date. However, a full refund will be issued if cancelled before that time frame.
